Food

HungerThe Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. strives to ensure that the basic human need for food is fulfilled in our local and global communities. Building and supporting strong institutions that reach more people in the poorest communities is a cornerstone of our work.

Nearly one in three people in the world, 2.37 billion, did not have access to adequate food in 2020. That is an increase of almost 320 million people in just one year. Hunger, defined by the USDA as “food insecurity”, is the lack of access at times to enough food for all household members.

In 2008, Tree of Life Foundation International flew to Fondwa, Haiti donated and hand-delivered over 4,000 pounds of food to help Our Lady Fatima Orphanage.

The Tree of Life Resource Center receives in-kind donations from our partner organizations such as Farm Share, Palm Beach County Food Bank, Four Seasons, Frito Lay/Pepsi, Walmart, Publix Super Markets, CROS Ministries, Oceanside Produce, Popeyes Foundation, and East Coast Farm and Vegetables. With these donations through appointments we feed 350-500 families a week. We have distributed from the years 2020-2024 over 23,736,310.13 Lbs. of food total.

The Tree of Life Resource Center hosted a monthly food drive with the help of Farm Share, Palm Beach Outlets, and Schumacher Automotive Group sponsoring for 2 1/2 years starting May 2020 to September 2022. Each month we served 500 cars and distributed over 20,000 pounds of food total. Volunteer Groups that assisted with the monthly food drives were Palm
