Annual Luncheon dedicated to raise awareness and to make a difference in the lives of those walking without food, medical care, housing and education throughout the world.

3rd Annual Tree of Life Foundation International Luncheon Sponsored by Holland America Line benefiting Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation on Saturday, November 17th, 2012. Holland America Line is pleased to support charities like Tree of Life Foundation International and Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation that benefit people in our home port community of South Florida.

Tree of Life Foundation International presented the 3rd Annual Luncheon, “Walk In My Shoes” to benefit Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation (JJCCF). Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit local families in crisis fighting childhood cancer.

Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation was created in 2004 shortly after Sandra Muvdi lost her only child to cancer. The Foundation has assisted over 1,600 children and family member impacted by pediatric cancer through the Emergency Financial Assistance program; it also advocates for and raises awareness of childhood cancer. The Foundation serves the patients of all hospitals (7) and clinics (1) treating pediatric oncology in South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties), and is headquartered at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Guests of honor was 6 year-old cancer hero Cara Dennis and her parents who received emergency financial assistance, hope, compassion and love from the Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation while fighting Stage IV Neuroblastoma (nerve tissue cancer). Cara is in remission and enjoying normal life attending elementary school.


2nd Annual Tree of Life Foundation International Luncheon Sponsored by Holland America Line benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Saturday, November 17th, 2012.

Tree of Life Foundation International presented the 2nd annual luncheon “ Walk in my Shoes” to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through researches and treatment consistent with the vision of the Founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or family’s ability to pay.

Supporters of the Tree of Life Foundation and St Jude’s have attended the luncheon aboard ms. Eurodam at the Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale. The luncheon consisted of a three course menu, followed by entertainer Dr. Adlan Cruz one of the most talented pianist in America. A video about St. Jude’s and a touching speech from one of St. Jude’s former parent was part of the program.

Walking in my Shoes Luncheon benefited Hai’s Hope

Amanda Schumacher, Founder of the Tree of Life Foundation International, hosted Walk in my Shoes Luncheon on May 18, 2011. Proceeds from event benefitted Tree of Life Foundation Medical Branch, to fund 100% of Hai Nguyen’s surgery.

Brio’s Restaurant, Palm Beach Gardens was the Grand Sponsor for the luncheon, Saks Fifth Avenue Palm Beach Gardens and Paris in Town Café also supported the Fundraiser.

Guests of the Luncheon were long time supporters and friends of the Tree of Life Foundation, such as Julie Healey founder of Be a Star Foundation, Barbara Nicklaus, Mary Warren, Jane Elizabeth Wall, Dr. and Mrs. William Adkins, Christine Do, Cindy Nguyen and many others.
